The United Nations Office at Vienna is responsible for the administration of those Vienna-based UN institutions that are not - like i.a. UNIDO - independent organizations. These UN institutions are:
I.
UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)
II.
UN Office for Outer Space Affairs (OOSA)
III.
UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL)
Commission meetings of these UN bodies take place annually. Germany is a member of the following commissions:
- Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) |
- Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) |
- Commission on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) |
- Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) |

As part of UNOV, the United Nations Information Service (UNIS) is responsible for providing information on the UN Office at Vienna and its headquarters, the Vienna International Centre (VIC). Guided tours are offered on working days at 11.00 and 14.00 hours, additional tours by arrangement.
