The Permanent Mission is located on the bank of the “Kaiserwasser” opposite the UN building.

Arrival by train:


Arrival at “Central Station”

  • Take underground train “U1” to “Leopoldau”, get off at “Kaisermühlen - Vienna International Centre” (the train crosses the inner city of Vienna (stations “Karlsplatz”, “Stephansplatz”, “Schwedenplatz”)
  • proceed down the platform to the right, descend stairs and leave station building
  • proceed straight ahead to the entrance of the UN premises “Vienna International Centre” (VIC)
  • for the Permanent Mission proceed right, past the lawn and down the stairs
  • follow the street (Wagramer Strasse) to the left for about 50 m; the Permanent Mission is located on the opposite side of the street (two-storey building with a car centre on ground level)
  • there is a pedestrian crossing another 50 m along the street

Air travel:

Arrival Vienna-Schwechat airport

  • outside the arrivals lounge buses take you to the UN building “Vienna International Centre” (VIC) opposite the Permanent Mission premises (see departure time schedule below)
  • sign boards in the arrivals lounge indicate departure times of buses (once every hour to VIC, at alternating intervals to “Schwedenplatz” in the city centre, from there proceed by underground train “U1”, see above)
  • travel time airport-VIC: app. 30 min
  • the bus stops on Wagramer Strasse opposite VIC (bus station “Hotel Park Inn”)
  • for the VIC cross Wagramer Strasse, walk back on the other side and mount the ramp leading to a lawn and the VIC main entrance
  • for the Permanent Mission alk back down Wagramer Strasse for app. 50 m on the same side as the bus station

Departure form Permanent Mission and UN building to Vienna-Schwechat Airport


  • buses departing for the airport will stop on Wagramer Strasse in front of the VIC: proceed from VIC main entrance past the lawn and down the right-hand stairs

Arrival by car:

  • coming from the cit centre (on Praterstrasse and Lassallestrasse) cross the Reichsbruecke and proceed for app. 100 m
  • the UN building is on the left, the Permanent Mission on the right side (two-storey building with a car centre on ground Level)
  • limited parking space is provided on front of the Permanent Mission (the Mission will hand out a written notice to put behind your front window)
  • public parking space is located down the street; local newspaper and tobacco kiosks (“Trafik”) sell parking permits
