The German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy BMWi

has pledged 500,000 Euros to support the International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA in ist work to fight COVID-19. The IAEA will provide states with specialized high-precision test devices, drawing on ist profound experiences with the Ebola and Zika viruses. The IAEA will offer national laboratories in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean diagnosis kits, lab and protective equipment as well as training courses in Seibersdorf.

IAEA is a member of the UN COVID-19 Emergency Response Team lead by the WHO.
